Competitive Youth Basketball League Launces in Bulverde/Spring Branch – First-Ever Season Tips Off May 2025
Bulverde, TX – The excitement is building in the Bulverde/Spring Branch communities as the Bulverde Basketball League (BBL) announces its inaugural season, tipping off in Summer 2025. Designed to offer a high-energy, competitive, and development-focused environment for young athletes, BBL is now accepting player registrations across all grade divisions.
With a mission to elevate youth basketball in the area, the league welcomes boys and girls from Kindergarten through 12th grade to join a season packed with skill-building, sportsmanship, and serious fun. The BBL’s first season is already drawing interest from families across the region, and spots are still open in all divisions.
🏀 Player Evaluations – May 15, 2025
All registered players will participate in mandatory evaluations on Thursday, May 15, at Arlon Seay Elementary School. Evaluations ensure balanced teams and provide coaches with a great first look at player skill levels. Players should wear basketball shoes and come ready to show off their game—no need to bring a basketball.

Practices begin late May.
Games start Saturday, May 31, with weekly Saturday matchups and a season-ending single elimination tournament on June 28.
K-2 will play single games; Grades 3-12 will play doubleheaders.
🙌 Volunteers Needed
The league is actively seeking volunteer coaches to help lead and mentor teams. All coaches receive a free BBL coach’s shirt and the chance to make a lasting impact in the community.
“This is more than just a basketball league—it’s a movement to strengthen our community, foster youth development, and prepare kids for competitive play at the next level,” said Kevin Butler of the BBL leadership team.
